Fonte del Castagno

Fonte del Castagno has been completly reconstructed in 1890 in conformity to Luigi Agnulucci's plan from Sinalunga. As a curiosity and interesting fact, it is worth recalling thath this fountain, according to the Malavolti's Historia of 1559, was the cause of the capitulation of Sinalunga in the 1312, because it was the principal means of water supply of the village and it was situated outside the defensive city-walls.
